At the GQ Awards last night David Cameron tried his hand at stand up comedy as he accepted the award for Politician of the Year.

“I can bring you the news that Wayne Rooney has scored – this time it was on the pitch, in the opposition’s goal and actually playing for his country,”

He went on to thank Sir David Frost, who presented him with the award, by saying:

“We are both the subject of films. Yours was the very successful Frost/Nixon, and mine was of course Brokeback Mountain.” In reference to him and Nick Clegg who he shared the award with.

HOWEVER (you wont be surprised by this part), there was one person in the crowd who sat there glum, with a miserable face when DC accepted the award.

Lily Allen even tweeted to show her disapproval: “David Cameron just turned up to pick up politician of the year at GQ. Pass me the bucket, morning sickness is back.”

What a lucky child that is going to be, being brought into Lily’s ‘happy’ world!

Forget about Team Edward or Team Jacob? At the moment there is just Team Twilight!

Over 1,000 Twilight fans have been camping on Hollywood Boulevard outside the Nokia Theatre in LA ahead of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiere tonight.

Fans eager to catch a glimpse of Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart have been camped outside the theatre since Monday.

Unfortunately at the London premiere there will be nothing for fans to sink their teeth into as none of the main stars will be attending.

The first two Twilight movies grossed $69m and $143m in their opening weekends. Eclipse is expected to be the biggest hit so far; the question is will it break box office records?

Twilight is released in the UK on the 9th July

Cameron Diaz certainly knew how to rock the ‘green’ carpet at the Shrek Forever After premiere last night in LA.

In a stunning little Oscar de la Renta number, she couldn’t have looked more different from her character Princess Fiona!

Joining her on the red carpet were the other stars of the movie including Mike Myers, who plays Shrek, Eddie Murphy who reprises his role as Donkey, and Antonio Banderas who plays Puss in Boots.

Shrek Forever After is the fourth instalment of the popular animated franchise and will be the first one to be shown in 3D.

The movie will be in cinemas in the US from the 21st May, UK fans will have to wait a little longer as it will be on show from  July 2nd.

When Ryan Seacrest decided that he wouldn’t attend this year’s Baftas somebody made a joke and said: ‘Let’s get Duncan from Blue’ to present the red carpet show’.

This was the worst thing I have ever seen on the red carpet since Bjork wore a swan-dress to the Oscars.

Thankfully, George Lamb was also providing the Bafta coverage for the BBC.

Who was better?

I wouldn’t say George Lamb won, as much as ‘Duncan from Blue‘ lost!

Jonathan Ross’s opening speech was amusing as always, the best line had to be when he started talking about the movie ‘The Hangover’. He asked whether anyone had ever actually woken up with a Tiger in their hotel bedroom, of course other than a few cocktail waitresses!

Colin Firth presented the first award for Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer to Duncan Jones for his movie ‘Moon’. The tears during his acceptance speech were very moving.

Nick Frost presented the Special Visual Effects award and I’m guessing no one was surprised to hear that ‘Avatar’ won. I’m guessing it won’t be their only award of the night…

The stunning Anna Kendrick presented the award for Supporting Actor to Christoph Waltz for ‘Inglorious Basterds’. He has already won the Golden Globe, it’s only a matter of time before he wins an Oscar too.

The award for Costume Design went to ‘The Young Victoria‘ for their fabulous period dresses.

The award for Makeup and Hair went to ‘The Young Victoria‘, such a shame Jenny Shircore, who picked up the award, didn’t manage to do her own makeup or her hair for the night!

The Supporting Actress award went to the incredibly talented Mo’Nique for her performance in ‘Precious’, unfortunately she was not there to pick up the award. I bet she will turn up to the Oscars where she will probably pick up the same award.

Rupert Everett gave the award for Outstanding British Film to ‘Fish Tank‘.

The star of Twilight, Robert Pattinson presented the award for the Original Screenplay to the ‘Hurt Locker’.

Jonathan Rhys Meyer presented ‘Avatar’s’ second award of the night for Production Design.

Noel Clarke present the Orange Rising Star award went to Kristen Stewart, from ‘Twilight’, who was very uncomfortable as she accepted her award.

Adapted Screenplay was won by ‘Up in the Air’, such a shame George Clooney didn’t come to the event.

Peter Capaldi presented the award for Animated Film which was won by ‘Up’.

Film Not in the English Language was presented by Carey Mulligan to ‘A Prophet’. The most interesting acceptance speech of the night, although it was in French I’m sure they could have found a better translator.

The award for best Director was presented by the very sexy Clive Owen to James Cameron‘s ex wife, Kathryn Bigelow (I wonder if she will manage the same feat at the Oscars?).

Kate Winslet presented the award for Leading Actor to Colin Firth. He thanked his fridge repair man for making him do the movie ‘A Single Man’ as well as for thanking Tom Ford for making him dress and smell better!

Mickey Rourke just about managed to present the award for Leading Actress. He managed to swear within 30 seconds of getting onto the stage and had problems reading the autocue! Carey Mulligan was so sweet as she accepted her award.

Dustin Hoffman presented the award for best Film to the ‘Hurt Locker’.

The Academy Fellowship award was introduced by HRH Prince William and then presented by Uma Thurman to Vanessa Redgrave. Prince William was a little embarrassed when Vanessa went down on her knees! She then proceeded to give the most BORING speech ever.

As the Oscars draw even closer, I wonder if ‘Hurt Locker’ can continue their winning streak? Either way, the countdown continues.

Jonathan, who is known for his eccentric fashion sense, has excelled himself.

I’m not sure there will many other (almost) 50yr olds gracing the red carpet in Dizzee Rascal Jeans, a gold skull necklace and gold shoes!

As the stars flocked to the red carpet for music’s biggest night of the year, Papture forgets about the awards and takes a closer look at the fashions instead…

Newly engaged Katy Perry stunned the red carpet in a fabulous gold Zac Posen ensemble.

While Katy accentuated her back, her fiance, Russell Brand, decided to show off his cleavage!

Katy and Russell were definitely the SEXIEST couple on the red carpet.

Beyonce had a few wardrobe changes during the night. It’s a shame her fashion sense doesn’t match up to her phenomenal voice. Watch the video of her performing ‘If I were a Boy’ remixed with Alanis Morissette’s hit ‘You Oughta Know’. Unfortunately the performance resembles and S&M version of ‘Star Wars’!

Following swiftly in Beyonce’s footsteps was none other than Lady Gaga. Already well know for her eclectic style she did not disappoint. Maybe she got her diary dates muddled and thought she was coming to audition for the Ice Queen role in the Narnia movie?

Luckily there were a few stars who nailed the red carpet and they seemed to have one thing in common. Throw away your little black dress, the colour this season is clearly BLUE!

Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas looked seriously hot in a mini electric blue Emilio Pucci number (Josh Duhamel eat your heart out!).

Taylor Swift looked suitably dressed to pick up her three Grammy awards. Her sparkly blue Kaufmanfranco dress ensured she looked even more glamorous than usual.

Let’s not forget the guys, there were those who got it right and looked the epitome of cool, Lionel Richie and Jamie Foxx.

It’s a shame Ricky Martin didn’t use the same stylist. The 90′s styled leather jacket and unshaved look (together with a few extra pounds) did nothing to help his image!

I think that is enough fashion for the time being. I’m off to find a hot little blue number…
