Dawn French claims ex-husband Lenny Henry is still her ‘best friend’

The comedy couple of Britain are in the middle of divorcing after 25 years of marriage, but Dawn French has said how she and Lenny are still, ‘best friends’.

French said: “Remarkably, we seem to have shifted with relative ease from a 25-year marriage to a lasting friendship. I am amazed by us – there is no war, we have turned out to be the best of friends.”

If only Katie Price could learn what an amicable split is!

Kate Winslet’s marriage is still sinking

Ever since Kate Winslet announced that she was separating from director, Sam Mendes in March, rumours have been circling about a reconciliation.

There were suggestions that they would put their divorce on hold for the sake of their children and that Sam had “planned a romantic summer getaway with their kids to see if they can put the spark back in their relationship.”

As much as it would be nice if this was true, it is one big fat rumour. Mendes’ rep has confirmed that there is absolutely no truth in the rumour.

So it looks like another celebrity marriage is definitely hitting the dust!

Cheers for the past 13 years: Kelsey Grammer divorces wife

Kelsey Grammer announced that he was divorcing his third wife of 13 years on Twitter.

The star of Frasier and Cheers tweeted:

“Had some bad news to deal with today. I am hoping that people will be respectful of our privacy during the divorce process. We have issued a statement asking that our children be respected as well. I would like to add that I know people will be tempted to say some mean things. I realize that it is human nature but I ask that you be particularly sensitive to the feelings of my wife. She has been a terrific partner for many years and should not be treated with any disrespect at this time. Things fell apart between us. That is all. She is still the mother of my children and any disparagement of her will only hurt the children. Camille did not want this but has made a very difficult decision and I respect her for it. I appreciate your kindness for all parties in this matter. Especially for her and the children.“

He then asked his followers to “be kind and mindful of the fact that she is the mother of my children“.

Camille filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” and is seeking primary custody of their daughter Mason (8) and son Jude (5).

Grammer is currently appearing on Broadway in La Cage aux Folles.

Victoria and David Beckham to announce split?

Rumours are circulating around the internet suggesting that Victoria and David Beckham are going to announce their separation in a couple of hours.

A source at PR firm, Frank PR, has suggested that a split is imminent.

The couple began dating in 1997 and later married in 1999. Despite claims in the past of multiple affairs, it seemed that this was one celebrity relationship that would never end.

If the Beckhams can’t stay together what hope is there for all of the other celebrity couples?

Is this just a rumour? Or is the biggest divorce ever about to be announced?

Another celebrity couple bites the dust

First George Clooney is single again and now Hollywood golden couple Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have announced that they are splitting after 5 years together.

As with all top celebrity news both Jim and Jenny took to their twitter to make the announcement.

Jenny:

“Im so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.“

Jim:

“Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best! S’okay! ?;^>“

Details as to why they have split have yet to emerge, but we can only wonder for how long they will remain amicable?

Kate Winslet finally confirms split from husband, Sam Mendes

After months of speculation Kate Winslet’s solicitors have confirmed that she is splitting from her husband of 6 years, Sam Mendes.

A statement released by Schillings stated that the split was “entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement“.

Unsurprisingly Mark Owen was thrown out of his house this week by his angry livid wife.

With all the commotion surrounding the break-up of Cheryl and Ashley Cole, another of Britain’s sweethearts has been forgotten.

The Cole’s are not the only celebrity couple parting ways, Kerry Katona and parasite husband, Mark Croft have separated again.

The new svelte Kerry was pictured out at the weekend without her wedding ring on, as she tries to rebuild her life and reclaim her status as Queen of the British Public (well at least Queen of the ones who shop at Iceland).

I wonder if she will actually follow through and take a leaf out of Cheryl’s book and divorce the low-life?

I have a feeling there will be a reconciliation by the end of the month…

Pop Princess Cheryl, has signed up with Britain’s top divorce lawyer, Fiona Shackleton.

Shackleton, known as the ‘Steel Magnolia’, has represented Prince Charles, Paul McCartney and most recently Madonna.

She has been quoted saying: “A courtroom is a barbaric venue in which to pick over the carcass of a failed marriage.”

So we know that Cheryl is not taking this divorce lightly!

Considering Ashley Cole has been caught playing away from home, he can expect signing some very large cheques very soon!

Girls Alone

Cheryl Cole has arrived home to a half empty house due to Ashley moving out this afternoon.

Although we are unsure about where he went we are sure that being a Chelsea footballer he had a lot of advice about where to go from his captain, John Terry!

Cheryl’s plan to ditch Ashley on a Tuesday was the perfect move for the pop princess. She can now do the obligatory four nights at home with the ‘girls’. But come the weekend we expect her to hit the London Scene and show the world how much better she is now she is single.

We would prefer her partying at Nobu before stumbling out of M*vida wearing no underwear than staying married to a low-life like Ashley Cole.

Ashley, being a professional footballer, is expected to go out and score two goals in his next football match in an attempt to remind people that he is a pro footballer. But ‘unfortunately’ for him he is injured, so instead he will be sitting it out on the bench!
