Daniel Radcliffe lands role in famous thriller

Daniel Radcliffe has signed up to star in a movie adaption of The Woman In Black.

The Harry Potter star is trying to play as many different roles as possible to ensure that he is not typecast as a child wizard, as parts like that are few and far between.

Radcliffe is to play young lawyer Arthur Kipps who is sent to a haunted house.

The screenplay was written by the wife of Jonathan Ross, Jane Goldman. Daniel said:

“I am incredibly excited to be part of The Woman In Black. Jane Goldman’s script is beautifully written – both tender and terrifying in equal measure. It is thrilling to be working with James Watkins. From his brilliant work on Eden Lake and also having met him and heard his vision for the film, I know he will make a fantastic film.”

But before you see this film, we have the final 2 parts of Harry Potter to look forward to.

The penultimate Harry Potter film, Deathly Hallows: Part One, opens on November 19th.

Russell Brand has not snubbed pal Wossy

Many people have been asking why was Russell Brand not present at the filming last night of the final Friday Night With Jonathan Ross.

Earlier in the year we had been told that Russell would be one of Jonathan’s final guests.

As you can see he is currently filming the remake of 80′s classic Arthur.

However Russell was able to send Jonathan Ross a message of congratulations:

“GOOD LUCK MATE. Who’d have thought the King Of Chat would be unable to pronounce half the alphabet? SHOW EM WHERE YER FROM!”

It is believed that Russell may be Jonathan’s first guest when his new show starts next year on ITV.

Not a bad way to gain a large audience on show one!

The final Friday Night With Jonathan Ross takes place

Last night was the end of an era for Jonathan Ross, who filmed the final ever episode of Friday Night With Jonathan Ross. Jonathan, who has just signed a new deal with ITV, said that he was “grateful, lucky and honoured” to have worked for the BBC.

He thanked the guests who have been part of the 10-year long show and said, “at least 95% of them were great.”

“It’s been a remarkable period of my TV career, being here at the BBC – I’ve worked with just about the best crew and I hope you all know how much it’s meant to me to have you guys here because I’ve felt supported… you’re just the best people.”

The presenter went on: “The experience I’ve had here at the BBC has been a blessed one.”

“I’ve never come in here feeling anything other than grateful, lucky and honoured… so thank-you.”

The main guest on the show was David Beckham who speaks about his admiration for Fabio Capello and about his trip to see the forces in Afghanistan.

Even celebrities love meeting celebrities!

After becoming the world boxing heavyweight champion, he can pretty much demand an audience with whoever he wants.

So only a couple of days ago, David Haye was seen hanging out in London with Jonathan Ross and Jimmy Carr.

Then last night, Britain’s best boxer spent the evening with Britain’s best footballer.

After spending the evening with Wayne Rooney, David Haye tweeted:

“I had a nice evening hanging out with Wayne and his family till the early hours. What a real down to earth bunch.☺”

He should have uploaded his celebrity spots on Papture!

Jonathan Ross becomes the latest BBC star to move to ITV

Since Jonathan Ross announced that he was quitting the BBC, there has been much speculation as to what he would do next.

There were suggestions that he would move to the other side of the pond and try and make it in the USA.

However it now appears that he will be fronting a new chat show for ITV.

The show is likely to be broadcast on a Friday or Saturday night and will start towards the end of next year, allowing Ross to have a ‘Gap Year’.

In a statement Jonathan Ross said: “I am thrilled and excited that after a short break I will be rolling up my sleeves and creating a brand new show for ITV1.  I have worked successfully with most of the key figures at the network in the past and cannot wait to get back on screen with a fast, funny, and unpredictable new talk show. I do have a little spare time at the beginning of 2011 though, so if England needs a temporary new manager I will consider the post seriously. Thank you.”

Let’s hope he has better luck than Parkinson…

Russell Brand teases Britney Spears

In the old days, after a night out on the town, Russell Brand would usually end up with a bevy of blondes back at his London pad. But not any more!

Now engaged to Katy Perry, he left a night out with Jonathan Ross early to go home and play on the internet.

Russell noticed that popstar sensation Britney Spears had tweeted:

“I want to see Get Him To The Greek. Was it good? – Britney”

So Russell taunted her with this response:

“Yes, Get Him To The Greek is funny. It is about a crazy popstar so you’ll love it! And I’m in it.”

I’m not sure if that will encourage Britney to go see it!

Jonathan Ross welcomes Eminem and LL Cool J to his show

Jonathan Ross welcomes to his show tonight hip-hop legends LL Cool J and Eminem, as well as tennis star Andy Roddick and Nina Wadia and Nitin Garanta (Zainab and Masood, Eastenders)

Rapper LL Cool J tells Jonathan about his excesses in his wild days:

“I was never addicted to anything… my thing was bling, cars… ten cars in front of my grandmother’s house, just ridiculous!”

Eminem told Jonathan that he MAY return to the UK to perform:

“I’m taking it as it comes, I certainly wouldn’t rule it out.”

Jonathan Ross gets caught dancing with two strippers

Jonathan Ross has been taped in a petrol station (of all places) shaking his ‘laffy taffy’ to impress a couple of strippers.

Unsure yet whether this was a set up to try and catch him out, but good ol’ Jonathan was very well behaved and was just showing off a bit:

Jonathan is happily married to movie producer Jane Goldman, and I’m sure the only thing she will care about is his embarrassing dancing!

Eminem set to make appearance on Radio 1 Live Lounge

Fearne Cotton has announced that Eminem is to perform in the Live Lounge this Friday.

Eminem, who is currently on a European Promo tour to promote his new album ‘Recovery‘, is also set to appear on Jonathan Ross this Friday.

The new album comes only a year after the mediocre release of ‘Relapse‘ last year.

Let’s hope this album takes off in old Eminem fashion!

Ross Noble and Bruce Forysth ready to battle?

Last week you may have seen comedian Ross Noble fighting with Jonathan Ross.

Tonight you can see him on ‘Have I got News For You’ where Bruce Forsyth will be hosting.

Ross was worried that the same antics could re-occur:

“About to record have I got news for you. Host is bruce forsyth hope it dosen’t go same as wossy show. Nice the punch you. to punch you….”
