Forget Kate Moss and heroin chic, Cheryl Cole is bringing you Malaria Chic

Life really does imitate art. And nobody does it better than Cheryl. When it all began there was big hair, big clothes, big discussions about that seemingly useless but nevertheless cherished tattoo, big shoes, big friends and most of all, big love. But a year on the popularity was waning and so was the love-rat footballer husband. Down went the hair extensions (surely the samson-esque superhuman strength of all self-respecting wags?), down came the husband, down came the extravagant couture spectacle and born in its place, a new, pared down, Cheryl. Just a bit more edgy, just a bit more cool and just that bit more Tweedy.

Madonna and Gaga are not the only masters of the revolution. For Cheryl- the nation’s treasure, the x-factor sweetheart (surely no cliche too big) there are still more layers to shed. We should not underestimate the serious nature of Malaria, Cheryl’s first foray into the wide world of Surrey following weeks of recovery has revealed the best Cheryl yet.

It’s painful to admit that there are times when we don’t want to see fashion, when high fashion is crude and inappropriate and just missing the point. Make-up free in her unflattering baggy jeans, sensible flip flops and what can only be described as thermal vests best saved for a chilly night on the ski slopes, we see the true Cheryl- stunning… but fragile, vulnerable and just a little bit normal. Probably how most of us look when we’ve just spent the night clutching the toilet bowl- perhaps minus the strikingly gorgeous cheekbones. And yet, in her least glamorous guise is where her stratospheric popularity will begin again. The nineties had heroine chic with Kate Moss. We now have malaria chic with our very own Cheryl.

We nearly went 4 hours without writing a story about Lady Gaga, but she’s been at her Twitter to post a saucy picture of her with a new tea cup.

Sporting NO clothes, Gaga is showing her new ‘tea-cup’ and ‘b-cups’!

This teacup is embossed with the word ‘whore’.

Britney Spears episode for Glee is given the go-ahead

We’ve had the Madonna episode, the Lady Gaga episode and now Glee has confirmed that the 2nd series will contain a Britney Spears episode.

It is still unknown whether the pop star will also appear in episode.

VIDEO: Lady Gaga debuts a new song, ‘You and I’

She performs a brand new song from her new album entitled ‘You and I‘ while appearing on the Today Show.

When asked about the track she said: “‘You and I’ was written about the most important person that I have ever met and all my friends downtown.”

“It’s very different from the other songs on the album but it’s a rock and roll tune.”

It is clear why she is the biggest pop star in the world and why her performances are legendary.

There is no one else like Gaga!

Lady Gaga’s world domination continues…

It is not unusual for parents to name their newborns after celebrities (or celebrities’ children), however it may come as a surprise that father Ian Clark decided to name his child after Lady Gaga.

The father of four asked his older children to suggest names for their new sister. His four-year old stepdaughter Maddy suggested Lady Gaga after her favourite pop star.

Surprisingly Ian agreed and named his daughter Meggie Maisie Lady Gaga!

To be honest Lady Gaga is a much better name than Meggie Maisie!

Forbes release their Hollywood top 100 list, but who managed to take the coveted top spot?

The UK may have the Sunday Times Rich List, but the US have the Forbes top 100 Power List.

The list of celebrities is compiled based on earnings and global exposure and is the list every celebrity wishes to get on.

This year Oprah regains her position at top of the list, pushing Angelina Jolie off the top spot and into 18th place. Lady Gaga is the highest newcomer, making her way not only into the top 10, but the top 5. Another newcomer in the list is Twilight heartthrob, Robert Pattinson; he reached number 50.

Surprisingly Simon Cowell was just shy of the top 10, with $80m. Maybe 2010/2011 will be his year as he launches the American X-Factor.

Elton John snubs Victoria Beckham

The highlight of the year for any A-List celeb has to be Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball. The annual summer party takes place at Elton’s Windsor mansion and raises money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

As usual a plethora of celebrities attended the magical party and guests partied until 2am.

Kelly Osbourne looked fabulous in a Dolce and Gabbana animal print dress, which nicely showed off her toned figure (not sure about the hair though).

Kate Beckinsale confirmed she is part of the Hollywood set as she looked like the perfect movie star in a dress from Marchesa.

Now it wouldn’t be an Elton John party without his new BFF, Lady Gaga.

As usual Gaga did not disappoint and seemed to be wearing the most outrageous outfit she could find – punk princess, meets ‘Like a Virgin’, meets fencing instructor!

However the big question of the night is: Why was Victoria Beckham having dinner with Louie Spence in London, was she not invited to the ball??

Lady Gaga gets her ban lifted

All weekend there have been reports saying that Lady Gaga has been banned from the famous Yankee Stadium in New York. It has now emerged that the owner does not want her banned!

Despite a drunk and scantily clad visit to the baseball stadium on Friday night; the pop superstar is welcome back anytime.

The Yankees lost 4-0 on Friday night and the players were not in a good mood to welcome Lady Gaga to the dressing room.  Brian Cashman, the general manager said that she is “welcome back” any time as long as the Yankees do not lose!

I’m sure the baseball players don’t mind her walking around in barely any underwear!

Lady Gaga gives the finger

Good morning sports fans……

…you’ll be pleased to know that Lady Gaga is too. You may have thought that you have little in common with her, but she is indeed a sports fan.

She spent the day watching the New York Mets take on the San Diego Padres.

Dressed in a bandana, sunglasses and just a bikini; I don’t think Gaga needed anything more to attract attention, but yet she decided to give fans the finger!

But like all other baseball fans she bought herself a beer and enjoyed the game!

It’s good to see that even though she doesn’t dress like most people, Gaga can be just a normal girl!

Lady Gaga upstages her sister on graduation day

Lady Gaga yesterday attended her sister’s graduation in New York’s Upper East Side.

Wearing a lace bodysuit, crazy heels and a black veil, maybe some people didn’t know it was Gaga.

Not a chance!!!

I wonder what Gaga’s 18-year old sister Natali thought about this upstaging?
