The London weather may have us all reaching out for our winter coats and central heating, but Nicola Roberts’ fashion forecast is looking good!

I must admit I find it endlessly dispiriting wading through high street racks full of fur coats and tweed trousers in what is, technically, the height of ‘summer’- something along the lines of running for the bus in Havaianas, mid winter.

Nicola Roberts’ autumnal ensemble however, demonstrates that it is possible to dress for the frosty gales of August without losing that touch of summer.

NR is wearing Topshop’s answer to Burberry’s luxurious flying jacket- A/W 2010 obligatory outerwear. Teamed with the beige tweed skirt and ruffle blouse, NR is ready to roll into September.

Yet, the bare legs (ordinarily a fashion crime of epic proportions with this type of outfit) and the aviator shades, very much remind us that we still have at least one more week of the hols to go!

Nicola Roberts to become judge on Britain’s Next Top Model

Nicola Roberts has been named as a guest host on Living TV’s Britain’s Next Top Model.

Following in her band mate Cheryl Cole’s footsteps, Nicola is set to become the next pop-star to giving this judging a go.

Nicola will appear alongside Elle Macpherson to mentor the aspiring models.

Roberts will guide them through a photo shoot for Beatbullying:

“The most important thing is that you’re able to put as much emotion into your photograph as possible, because I think that the photographs will really help thousands of young people in the UK.”

This isn’t the first time Nicola has been on a reality show, don’t forget how the Girls Aloud troop achieved success through ‘Popstar: The Rivals’ all the way back in 2002.

Cheryl Cole has been voted the world’s sexiest woman by FHM readers.

The Girls Aloud pop star beat fellow band mates, Sarah Harding, 35th; Nadine Coyle, 59th; (Kimberley and Nicola didn’t make the top 100).

Papture favourite Frankie Sandford brilliantly came 4th and Lily Allen was down the list in 71st place, with Lady Gaga at the back of the list in 92nd place.

They all agree that she should never return to the love-rat Ashley.
