Chris Moyles and Tom Jones become drinking buddies

Chris Moyles made a new friend today on his radio show.

The Radio 1 breakfast DJ was interviewing Welsh legend, Sir Tom Jones and the pair hit it off.

The two of them have arranged to go for pub drinks today at midday.

You can expect the Leeds born DJ and the Welsh born superstar will get few quite a few ‘jars’ today.

There will be some sore heads in the morning!

The new Radio 1 breakfast DJ is……nobody! After months of speculation that he won’t sign a new contract, Moyles HAS signed a new contract!

Chris Moyles has signed a new one year contract to keep him waking u, the nation, at Radio 1.

Moyles has presented the Breakfast show since 2004 and holds the record for the longest time presenting the Radio 1 breakfast show.

He posted on his Twitter page: “Evening all. I might treat myself to a few drinks tonight as it’s warm and the contract at work is now done. 12 more months of early starts!”

Today on his show, whilst debating whether or not Professor Green’s lyrics are any good, he told people who disagreed with him to stop listening.

He did this a few times!

Moyles doesn’t need to worry about numbers for another 12 months when his contract is up for renewal again in 2011.

I can’t imagine Moyles not being there when I wake up in the morning, so it’s good news for all of us.

Eminem set to make appearance on Radio 1 Live Lounge

Fearne Cotton has announced that Eminem is to perform in the Live Lounge this Friday.

Eminem, who is currently on a European Promo tour to promote his new album ‘Recovery‘, is also set to appear on Jonathan Ross this Friday.

The new album comes only a year after the mediocre release of ‘Relapse‘ last year.

Let’s hope this album takes off in old Eminem fashion!

Mark Ronson to debut new single tonight

Radio 1 are to premiere the new single by Mark Ronson tonight.

Supremo music producer Ronson will be on the Zane Lowe show tonight on Radio 1 at 7pm.

Mark Ronson’s last album, ‘Version’, went double platinum in 2007.

I just hope the new album lives up to his reputation.

Ronson spent the earlier part of this year working with Amy Winehouse, and her new album is expected out at the end of the year.

But you never really know with her!

JLS are FINALLY coming back to Britain

We are only one day away until the big return.

JLS, who have spent the last month in America writing and recording their new album, are to return to the UK tomorrow.

Their new album won’t be out for a couple of months but their first song ‘The Club is alive With The Sound of Music’ is already being played all over Britain.

The boys are coming back and its straight to work. On Sunday they will be playing at the Radio 1 Big Weekend, following it up with Capital FM Summertime Ball two weeks later.

Don’t worry, even though they have been abroad, they haven’t forgotten their fans:

Chris Moyles Jealous of Jamie Oliver

Whilst being stuck in New York, Chris Moyles has kept himself busy by getting up at 4am and doing his Radio 1 Breakfast show LIVE.

But when the show finishes, he has the rest of the day to himself. So after wandering down to Times Square and seeing celebrity pal Jamie Oliver towering over the city on a 50ft billboard, Chris decided he was get the same thing.
