Years after Simon replaced Nigel, Nigel now may replace Simon

Nigel Lythgoe is being tipped as the chap to replace Simon Cowell on American Idol.

Ironically Simon replaced Nasty Nigel from Pop Idol in the UK all those years back, but the switcheroo may happen the other way round this time.

Simon is going off to create American X-Factor and bring in the dollars for himself instead of Simon Fuller.

Do U think Nigel should leave So You Think You Can Dance, and join American Idol, or is there someone better?

Louis Walsh gives Geri Halliwell a slamming

We expect it from Simon Cowell, but this time Louis Walsh has been pulling out the claws and opened his bitchy mouth.

Louis Walsh told Star Magazine that Geri Halliwell knows nothing about the music business and that he didn’t think she had the skills to be a judge:

“All I can say is, Geri who? I mean, what does she know about the music business? She got the most boos from the crowd, too.”

Several celebrity judges have been chosen as replacements for both Dannii and Cheryl and some of them Louis actually liked:

“I thought Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls was absolutely brilliant when she stood in! I liked Natalie Imbruglia, and Katy Perry was great fun.”

This comes from the man that gave the world ‘Jedward’!

X-Factor postpones boot camp until Cheryl Cole has recovered

The X-Factor has postponed Boot Camp at London’s Wembley Arena due to Cheryl Cole being ill.

Cole, who was has missed auditions due to catching malaria, was expected to miss the famous X-Factor boot camp.

But producers have decided that they will hold off until Cheryl has recuperated and can be part of the second stage auditions.

Cheryl, now hurry up and get better…

Cheryl Cole texts Simon some important news

Simon Cowell has received a text message from Cheryl Cole saying that she is on the mend.

Cheryl, who has pulled out of the final auditions and boot camp for this year’s X-Factor, is in a battle with malaria and is hopefully going to be back soon.

Cowell said:

“She is on the mend and looking forward to coming back to work. She is making a good recovery.”

This year’s X-Factor judging panel has seen more personnel changes than Kerry Katona’s marital bed!

Kelly Rowland gagging for Simon Cowell’s approval

Did you see Graham Norton last night?

Was there anything more awkward than watching Kelly Rowland seem like she would do anything to become a judge on The American X-Factor?

Kelly said:

“I’ve met with Simon on countless numbers (of times). I love X Factor, personally, I think it’s fantastic. We’ll see. X Factor’s going to America… I’m there… no pressure! It would be a great opportunity.”

But who knows who Simon is going to choose…

She may have to take a trip to the ‘Cowell Casting Couch’ first!

Geri Halliwell is first to replace Minogue

Geri Halliwell has become the first X-Factor guest judge.

Tomorrow, the ex-Spice Girl will take Dannii Minogue’s place as a judge on the X-Factor.

Each day there will be a different guest judge replacing the pregnant Dannii Minogue until she returns as a mentor for the live studio finals.

Geri will be joining Simon, Cheryl and Louis, let’s hope she fits in and is not cast aside like dancing coach Brian Friedman…

Simon Cowell gives an emotional goodbye to American Idol

At the finale of American Idol last night it seemed that the compeition to find the winner was the second most important story of the night. The goodbye for Simon Cowell was certainly number 1 priority!

The winner by the way was Lee Dewyse, but the real winner was Mr Cowell. Have you ever seen a goodbye so big?

Not only did all the past winners come back and the past ‘losers’, but ex-judge Paula Abdul returned for some words of wisdom for Simon, including:

The funniest line being: “There’s a baby backstage with Simon’s haircut. Sweetheart [looking at Cowell], its your turn to feed him!”

Finally after all the previous winners performed for Simon, he closed the show by giving a short speech. (Speech 3.45)

To the audience he said:

“I didn’t think I would be this emotional, but I genuinely am.”

“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, for the support and the fun and your sense of humour.”

“Who’s going to replace me? Who’s going to be the next judge? The truth is you guys are the judge of the show, and you’ve done an incredible job over the years.”

Then looking at Ryan Seacrest, Simon said:

“And even you, I’m going to honestly miss you.”

Well I would usually say that we will miss you too Simon, but with ‘Britains Got Talent’, ‘X-Factor UK’ and ‘X-Factor USA’, I don’t think we will have the chance to miss you!

Alexandra Burke gets down and dirty this weekend

Alexandra Burke went all out this weekend at London’s famous G.A.Y nightclub.

Wearing a sexy and skimpy black leotard, Burke entertained the crowd and spent the night gyrating her ‘thang’.

The new look Burke would have definitely received more votes on the X-Factor if she had performed like she did this weekend.

But then again, she didn’t need extra votes!

Phwoarrrrrrrrr.

Simon Cowell gives Ryan Seacrest a lesson on how to be a judge

Time is getting closer for when Simon Cowell jumps ship from American Idol to the new X-Factor.

Simon decided he would give Ryan Seacrest, who might take his place on the judging panel, some tips on how to be a judge.

So firstly they needed a band!

Simon introduced Ryan to British band JLS, who are slowly breaking the States.

Simon told Ryan to “Look interested as they sing, and say something positive afterwards”.

However after JLS performed, Ryan said “I’m depressed I didn’t discover them”.

Even though I just reported that JLS are on their way back to the UK, I think America may be the place for them unfortunately!

Louis Walsh laughs off the idea that Kerry Katona is replacing Dannii Minogue on X-Factor

Louie Walsh has said that he hasn’t a clue about who will replace Dannii Minogue in the audition phase of this year’s X-Factor.

Minogue, who is to have a baby during the auditions, is expected to make a return to the series for the live shows.

“The X Factor is coming back, it’s season seven but I don’t know who’s going to be doing it; I’m doing it, with Simon and Cheryl - I don’t know who the fourth judge will be because Dannii’s having her baby so there will be a stand-in”

“I think Dannii will come back for the live shows but I really don’t know. I hope she’s back – she’s good, she works hard.”

“I heard Mel B, but I don’t know if it’s true. Kerry Katona? That’s definitely not going to happen. No way, no chance. That’s a joke.”

Who would you like to see on the X-Factor panel???
