1. What are paptures?

Paptures are live celebrity sightings that can be made by anyone at anytime and anywhere. If you see a celebrity then upload via your phone or online who you have seen, where you have seen them, and what they are doing. The best paptures have photos or videos attached.

2. How do I know if there is a celebrity near me?

Currently you will need to look at the live feed. However, we are developing the FREE Pap App to incorporate GPS and tell you which celebrities are closest to you right now.

3. Is Papture free?

Papture is free for everyone, even the ‘Pap Apps’ are 100% FREE.

4. How do I submit a papture?

You can upload your paptures using the FREE Pap iPhone App, or from the upload page on the mobile web or from the web upload page. 

5. When should I take a photo?

Papture wants photos of celebrities anywhere; whether it is in a bar, shop, restaurant or walking their dog in the park.  If you can see a celeb doing something they shouldn’t be doing, take a photo! Hopefully it will make them change their bad ways! 

HOWEVER

6. When should I not take a photo?

Papture believes that certain aspects of celebrity’s lives should be private; especially when a celebrity is visiting any medical facilities e.g. hospital, Alcoholics Anonymous, doctor’s waiting room.

7. Can I make money from uploading paptures?

Yes. If you upload a good photo Papture may be able to sell your photo to other media sources. The better your photo or video the more money you can make. We have contacts at various newspapers and other media outlets and ensure that you get the highest price for your photo. Papture takes a small handling fee, typically 20% (this is less than other paparazzi websites). 

8. If I upload a photo/video do I still own it?

Yes, you retain all ownership of the material you upload. By uploading material you agree for Papture to have exclusive distribution rights to the material. 

9. What is the maximum size for a file upload?

50MB

10. What happens if I have multiple photos?

Papture encourages you to upload all photos from your celebrity sightings. You will have to upload each photo to different paptures and then Papture Administration will decide which photo is the best to keep online. 

11. What happens if I make a mistake in a papture?

If you have uploaded a papture containing an error e.g. wrong location or celebrity name, email Papture and we will alter your papture for you. Our email address is info@papture.com.

12. Do I have to register to upload a celebrity sighting?

Yes. You must register to upload paptures or to add comments to other paptures. Registering is a very quick and easy process. Click here to register.

13. Do I have to register to comment on a papture?

Yes. You must register with Papture to comment or rate paptures. Registering is a very quick and easy process. Click here to register. 

14. What should I do if I haven't received my confirmation email?

First you must check if the email has been sent to your spam or junk box. If the mail is not in there, contact us at info@papture.com from the email address you set up the account with, and we will confirm your password and account.

15. What do you do with my personal details?

Papture does not share or sell your details to third parties. Papture requires all users to provide information as both a safety precaution and as a means of preserving the integrity of the site.

16. What do I do if I see something offensive?

Next to each papture and comment, there is a report abuse button allowing you to inform us of any misuse of Papture. Select the appropriate category (inaccurate, inappropriate sexual content, antisocial behaviour, inappropriate invasion of privacy, other), and tell us why the post or papture should be removed. 

17. I have seen a fake papture, what shall I do?

Select the report abuse button, and tell us why the papture is fake. We speak daily to industry insiders to ensure our paptures are as accurate as possible.  We will remove users who abuse the system.

18. How do I report copyright infringement?

Each papture has a report button, if you see something that infringes your copyright select ‘other’ and explain why including your contact details. The Report Abuse Team will investigate your complaint.

19. What happens when I report abuse?

The Papture Report Abuse Team will be notified and will investigate. If the papture/comment is deemed to have breached Papture’s Terms and Conditions the posting will be removed.

20. How do I get Papture on my phone?

The FREE iPhone app is available now from the Pap App page. The Blackberry App is coming very soon. You can also visit Papture on the mobile web via ALL mobile phones. If you don’t have the Apps you can still upload paptures through the mobile web page.

21. Am I charged for viewing or downloading content on my phone?

This will depend on the service plan you have with your mobile service provider. However there are no additional fees for Papture.
